Timothy GelsMarketing Manager, Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc.

Timothy Gels has been the Marketing Manager for Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc. since 1998. He is involved in both the strategic planning and tactical implementation of marketing initiatives for the company including advertising, communications, public relations, continuing education programs, trade shows, sales collateral development, and website and e-marketing programs.

Prior to being the Marketing Manager, Tim was a Territory Manager for Eschenbach calling on eye care and rehabilitation professionals in southern California, Arizona and New Mexico. Throughout his tenure at Eschenbach, Tim has consulted with dozens of low vision practices and provided training to numerous eye care and vision rehab professionals. Tim is an approved provider of continuing education by ABO, JCAHPO and ACVREP.  His previous work experience has been in sales, sales management and business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Tim holds a bachelor of science degree in Biology and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and has completed the Medical Marketing Program in executive education at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.  In addition, he is a member of The Vision Council's Marketing Committee and the Assistive Technology Industry Association's Low Vision Special Interest Group.
