Who is Eschenbach Optik of America?

Eschenbach Optik of America is the leading source of low vision aids / magnification products in the world! Eschenbach has been manufacturing high quality optical products for over 90 years, and each year we introduce more innovative products than any other company in the industry. We have been distributing these, quality German engineered, optical products throughout North America for over 25 years and have developed a unique, turnkey program (our Low Vision Program) for integrating Low Vision care into eye care practices.

Why should I offer Low Vision care?

It has been estimated that 20 million Americans, age 40 and older, suffer from some form of vision impairment, many of which are due to age-related eye diseases. As the population of our country grows older, those numbers will only increase. You probably see these patients every day and now you can do something to help them! Adding Low Vision Services to your practice enhances your patient care and does so in a manner that makes good economic sense!

What are the causes of Low Vision?

Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of Low Vision, followed by other eye diseases, such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma and Retinitis Pigmentosa. A variety of other conditions, such as in-operable or pre-operative Cataracts can also lead to Low Vision. How does Low Vision affect my patients?

Many activities of daily living (ADLs) are restricted due to the central or peripheral field loss that occurs with eye diseases that cause vision loss. Patients may have difficulty reading, writing, watching television, spotting objects from a distance, and enjoying their hobbies. Imagine trying to read the newspaper or a prescription label with a best-corrected acuity of 20/200 – nearly an impossible task! What is included in the Low Vision Program?

Our  Low Vision Program includes 3 important features to make you successful.

What products are in the Diagnostic Dispensing System?

The system includes devices from each of the major categories of Low Vision devices to help you maximize successful patient outcomes. How can I return a product?

We have a 30-day return policy for all of our products – all returns must be pre-authorized and sent back with the Return Authorization Number on the box. The product must be in its original packaging and be in re-saleable condition in order for it to be accepted as a return. When I order from Eschenbach, how long will it take for the order to reach my office?

We have the fastest shipping time in the industry--if you order by 3:00PM EST, your purchase will ship the same day, and you can select the delivery method to ensure that your order will arrive in a timely manner for you and your patient.

Does Eschenbach offer a broad range of products?

We carry a huge inventory of products [1,000+]. Our complete line of products includes hand held magnifiers and stand magnifiers, spectacle magnifiers, telescopes, video magnifiers, absorptive filters, and non optical devices, such as charts, task lamps, and reading stands. If you're looking to help your patients perform a specific task, we're sure to have the products you need.

Are Eschenbach products covered by a warranty?

Yes! Eschenbach Hand-held and Stand Magnifiers are covered by a Lifetime Warranty (beginning with purchases as of January 1, 2006) against defects in material and/or workmanship. All other Eschenbach products (except bulbs and batteries) are covered by a 1-Year warranty against defects in material and/or workmanship. Products are not warranted against improper treatment, battery corrosion, alteration of the product, or normal wear and tear.
