This low vision care lecture and hands-on workshop intended for eyecare and rehabilitation professionals, is specifically designed as an introduction into Low Vision Care.
Topics of Discussion
Course topics include a discussion of the causes of low vision, a review of the different types of vision aids available, and an overview of the resources available to both professionals and those that are visually impaired. Attention will be paid to differentiating the many different types of vision aids and the task appropriateness of each.
Course Credit
All US courses are approved for 3 Continuing Education Credits by American Board of Opticianry (ABO), Joint Commission of Allied Health Professionals in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation, and Education Professionals (ACVREP).

Optimizing Reimbursement
A free, non-credit, 1-hour course entitled "Optimizing Reimbursement" will be offered immediately afterward. This practice management course will provide reimbursement tips and other helpful guidance to ensure that the Low Vision service that you offer in your practice is financially, as well as professionally rewarding. The Reimbursement course is offered in the US only.
